Amazing tracking quality board
Bought this board at the outlet price of £600 and I’m delighted with it. Up to this point I had decathlon boards, which were fine, but I found paddling against any wind was really tough and to get anywhere in slightly windy conditions. I also found on my previous boards that the wind or swell would quickly spin my board around if I wasn’t continually paddling.
Okay so onto this actual board, the two fins provide amazing tracking, I’ve tried it in flat and windy conditions and the board stays straight as an arrow and doesn’t get turned around, this tracking also means you can paddle hard with very little movement on the nose of the board. It is also far faster over the water than my previous boards, I’m guessing this is down to the more pointed nose, slimmer profile and generally having a more aerodynamic (aquadynamic??) shape. Whatever the case this is such an efficient board in going against the wind or the swell.
Everything about the board feels quality, the way it packs into the bag is great and the bag itself is on the large side, but is so well designed that you can carry it comfortably for a distance. In comparison to my other sup bags this is far more comfortable and well designed.
The board has lots of nice d rings and carry handles and makes it easy to attach bags to and carry it to the water.
The only draw back to this board is; it’s not easy to manoeuvre, the tracking being so good, makes it tricky to turn quickly, a very minor issue, but something to consider…
