The 2-in-1 Reversible Tow Float Backpack lets you carry your kit comfortably to the water, keeps essentials dry while you swim, then reverses back into a backpack to take wet gear home again.

A tow float and backpack in one

Most tow floats work fine in the water, but are impractical on dry land. Most waterproof backpacks are good for carrying kit, but they can’t swim with you.

The 2-in-1 Reversible Tow Float Backpack does both.

On land, it excels as a comfortable 28L waterproof backpack, with lightly padded straps and an adjustable chest harness for easy carrying to lakes, beaches, rivers and more remote swim spots.

When you’re ready to swim, simply pull it through to turn it inside-out. The Admiral Blue backpack becomes a Neon Yellow tow float with a generous c.19L internal dry-storage compartment, helping you stay visible while keeping essentials with you on the water.

Then after your swim, reverse it back again and pack wet kit back into the leak-proof backpack for the journey home.

Made for safer open-water adventures

Visibility matters in open water. Whether you’re swimming off the beach, crossing a lake, exploring a river route or taking on a point-to-point swim, being easier to spot helps others see you – which supports safer swimming in shared waters.

The high-vis tow-float side uses bright Neon Yellow colouring, reflective elements and attachment points for lights or other accessories, helping you stay seen in a wide range of conditions.

It also features dual inflation chambers for buoyancy and stability, plus integrated whistles on both the tow-float and backpack sides for attracting attention in an emergency.

As with any swim tow float, it’s important to use it properly. This is not a lifesaving device, and should only be used by competent swimmers. It’s designed to support visibility and practical storage – not to replace swim safety knowledge, proper planning or good judgement.

Keep essentials with you while you swim

Being able to take key items with you while you swim, rather than leaving them unattended on shore, comes high on any wishlist for open-water swimming.

The 2-in-1 Reversible Tow Float Backpack includes c.19L of dry storage inside the tow-float configuration, with space for swim essentials such as a towel, shoes, clothing, snacks, keys, phone and more.

There’s also an external mesh stash pocket for wet-use items you might want to access during your swim – ideal for gels, snacks or anything that doesn’t need to stay dry.

For quick dips, you can maybe get away with leaving your bag on the beach, swimming a short loop, returning to the same spot, and hopefully your stuff’s still there.

An extra-long adjustable waistbelt helps fit a broad range of body shapes and sizes, while the adjustable tow tether lets you optimise the float position behind you to reduce drag and kicking interference. That means the float stays visible without getting in the way of your stroke.

It’s made from lightweight, PVC-free TPU with welded seams – a durable, flexible, soft-touch material that handles regular swims, rough shorelines and repeated packing without feeling stiff or plasticky.

The dual-purpose design also means less kit overall. Instead of carrying a waterproof backpack and a separate tow float dry bag, you’ve got one streamlined solution for the whole swim day.
