Good quality, just what I needed

This is a really nicely-made bag. Perfect size for everyday use, and with a classic style that goes with just about everything. What sets it apart are the technical characteristics - this can be everything from a daily crossbody purse to a key piece of backcountry camping and canoeing equipment.

I wrote an initial review on this bag a month back or thereabouts. I love every aspect of it bar one. I use it walking, shopping, on my SUP for snacks, etc. The only criticism I can make is that the main strap is so smooth and easy to adjust that it doesn't/won't hold its adjustment. The thickness of the webbing is too thin for the buckles used and it is somewhat annoying over time as the bag is never quite ready to pick up and go without faffing about to make it fit every time. I may try fix the position using rubber bands to hold the webbing. Other than that I love this bag and use it, as I said, every time I leave the house.

I've purchased a number of sling / crossbody bags in the past year or so but often end up going back to a backpack for flexibility. Bags like Lulu lemon, Tomtoc etc., are all good bags but I find them too small at times and they can get bulky with only a few items in them.

The beauty of Red's cross body bag 7L is that if you only have a few items it rolls up small and lays nice and flat but if you want to throw in a small wind breaker or water bottle it easily expands to handle these items. It also attaches to a bike's handlebars quite nicely.

I purchased this for an upcoming trip to Paris and like that the roll down flap should make it harder for someone to pickpocket. Also there is a zippered pocket inside the bag to be extra safe for your key documents and a secure zippered pocket on the backside close to your body for items you want to keep safe but more easily accessible than having to open the bag i.e. smartphones.

I would like to see a better strap system as the strap it comes with is a bit on the thin side but still very usable.
