For years I've searched all the big brands for a decent 'Summer' raincoat, one which is long enough to actually keep me dry, a good fit, decent-sized pockets (women's clothes are notorious for rubbish, or no, pockets!), good-sized hood, long enough sleeves, and doesn't make me soaking wet from the inside out!
Enter the 'Red' Pursuit Robe. I have the Evo Pro and the new, Slim Parka, so I knew the quality of Red products. I wavered for ages, then saw it reduced again, plus I had points to use... and I know returns/exchanges are easy.
So I did it....and I have not regretted it. Just in time for the 'Summer' 😆 drought ending and the rain returning. I live in Fife. We don't get it too warm in the East, but still too warm in Summer for either of my other Red coats. I've been wearing it to walk the duggies and it's just great! Braw big pockets for all the usual stuff you need for walkies..plus there are side-opening pockets (with zips) for your hands and there's still plenty room because of the 4-way stretch in the material. There's an outer breast pocket, which my S23 Ultra fits in. Or there's the inside 'underwear stash' pocket, which also accommodates my phone and also my spec case if I've taken my sunglasses.
I haven't found the poppers too fiddly, as others have, but I'm not using it as a changing robe, so that may make the difference.
